Below are methods on how to report abuse by the Korean Police:
Sexual violence (abuse)
● Go to ONE-STOP center, emergency room in any hospital or go to the police immediately without washing your body. Report that you are a victim or sexual violence and to investigate for evidence, sexual disease and possibility of pregnancy you need to be examined in 72hours.
●If you have a bruise or injury take pictures of them to use them as an evidence.
- Keep your underwear which you wore at that time and other things that could be evidence in the unlaminated paper bag to not to be moist.
- Keep attacker’s belongings intactly as you can, to take evidence about fingerprint, hair, semen, sweat.
Family Violence (abuse)
- For continuous violence, keep important belongings with you at hand, e.g: cash, identification card, and bank accounts, etc. in case of emergency and to prevent mis-use.
- Keep evidences such as pictures, medical certificates
- Get as counseling from professional counseling organization.
- We should list halfway houses that people can go to in an emergency.
- We should list emergency numbers.
