The plethora of Korean food, Namdo style
The museum for native local foods of the southern provinces is a special museum for foods opened in Feb 26th, 2007 aiming to preserve and develop traditional foods of southern provices. It is furnished with various exhibit halls and experience halls which are apporpriate for preservation and development of native local foods showing the taste of southern provinces and the spirit of the people there and runs a traditional foods making course and local food experiencing programs such as Pyebeak foods (gifts foods offered to the parents of the bridegroom by the bride), rice cake, traditional cookies (hangwa) and other native local foods making courses. In addition to this, the Honam district cutural data look into the culture, history, architecture and arts of the southern province.
