KTO provides quality information on Korean tourism and accommodations.


KTO was established in 1962 as a government invested organization with the purpose to act as a central force to develop Korea’s tourism industry. KTO’s primary goal is to improve Korea’s tourism environment and attract more tourists to make Korea the world’s leading travel destination. To achieve these goals, KTO has put a lot of effort into establishing a tourism complex, improving tourist accommodations, and expanding the infrastructure of the tourism industry. In addition, KTO is greatly involved in developing tourism technology and tour packages.
KTO is actively operating in the areas of promotion and marketing. KTO has 26 offices in 14 countries, and works with the local tour industry to provide tourism information as well as hold promotional activities. For visitors to Korea, KTO provides various services including tourist information, and promoting activities as well as taking customers complaints. KTO will continue to do its best to provide the best satisfaction to visitors when coming to Korea and to shape Korea into the most attractive travel destination.
Tourist Information Centers (TIC):
The local tourist information centers in Gwangju open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekdays and weekends. Maps and other information are provided in English, Chinese, and Japanese.
